This is exactly the truth that the Giraffe Cosmetics, a brand born in Thessaloniki in 2022 by a young couple, Olga Ziouta and him Thomas Krapi. Inspired by nature's most special animal, the giraffe, which stands out for its height and spots, but always stands proud, the company creates cosmetics that invite us to love our every "imperfection". In an exclusive interview, Olga Ziouta reveals how Greek formulas can combine purity with effectiveness, offering an affordable luxury that boosts the self-confidence of every woman and man.

TBP: How and when was the idea for Giraffe born? Cosmetics;
OZ: "The idea was born in 2022, together with my husband we wanted to create a care line exclusively manufactured in Greece that would meet the needs of most skin types. Our goal was for our comprehensive care line to contain pure and careful ingredients and for the final product to be affordable to the average Greek consumer. We searched a lot to find the formulas that would satisfy us and fortunately, from the reviews we receive, people really like them!"«
TBP: Why did you choose the giraffe as the brand symbol? and how does this connect to the philosophy of your products?;
OZ: "The giraffe is an animal that differs significantly from the rest (high neck, height, spots on the skin) but exudes a superiority. It holds its head high and stands with pride and confidence. This is exactly what we want those who trust us with their care to feel. Every different element about us must be embraced and be what characterizes us."«

TBP: How do you select ingredients for your products and what is your approach to using natural or active ingredients?;
OZ: "The ingredients are selected after many tests, we want them to be compatible with most skin types and to offer radiance and deep hydration. We place great emphasis on natural ingredients such as chamomile and aloe but also on active ingredients such as vitamin C and E."«
TBP: The natural cosmetics space is evolving rapidly, with increasing demands for sustainability and innovation. How Giraffe approaches Cosmetics sustainable development, both at the raw materials level and at the packaging and production level, and what do you think is the next big innovation that will change the clean landscape? beauty in Greece?;
OZ: "It is certainly something that concerns us, and our product packaging as well as the packaging materials for our shipments are recyclable. We believe that the skincare process should be simplified, as hundreds of unnecessary products have been created in the name of profit and overconsumption, which on the one hand confuse the world and on the other hand negatively burden the environment. The innovation will be to create multifunctional products that cover different needs so that the consumer invests in few, quality cosmetic products."«


TBP: Who are your products aimed at?;
OZ: "We are aimed at women and men who want glowing, clean and hydrated skin. The textures of our products are light, making them ideal for oily skin with acne tendencies. Our cleanser has anti-inflammatory properties and is also suitable for the eye area, so it can be used even by sensitive skin. Also, our cream care (serum and eye and face creams) have anti-aging effects. Our sunscreen is ideal for any age as its formula does not leave the annoying greasiness that usually accompanies the application of sunscreen. It is a range that can respond to most skin types and we are really very proud of this!"«

TBP: What are your plans for expanding? Giraffe Cosmetics in the future
OZ: "We aim to further develop the wholesale sales segment so that people can find us even more easily in their neighborhood store, in their pharmacy and can try our textures. It would be our pleasure to be able to develop new lines specialized for different needs. As long as there is public support, we will not stop growing and looking for ways to meet the needs of the market based on quality and affordable prices in the difficult times we are living in."«
